To date, FREE FILM has had two iterations. First, in 2018, FREE FILM : CANAL, which operated as a “pop up” on New York's Canal Street, asked photographers to respond to the prompt, “canal.” Out of this project grew, FREE FILM : USA, a year-long project which involved transforming an Airstream trailer into a mobile darkroom and traveling across the country to 18 cities where local photographers responded to the prompt, “red, white and blue.”
Given the free roll of film, the prompt phrase and approximately 72 hours, participating photographers are free to contribute whatever imagery they feel represents their interpretation of the theme.
The final product of FREE FILM : USA will be a photography book of select photos from across the country, as well as the FREE FILM : ARCHIVE — a publicly accessible database of all contributed photos from the project.
Future renditions of the project with undoubtedly happen, but the questions are when and where.

”It’s a Sign” is an ongoing series of painting sculptures and sketches focused on common everyday objects that are often gathered around. As opposed to art hung flat against a wall, the works of “It’s a Sign” invite viewers to gather around them as a method of transporting the viewer to a familiar place from their own past. In this nostalgic state, the viewer is posed existential questions about their choices and role in advancing human “progress.” As in all of my work, “It’s a Sign” touches on the themes of life choices, death, modern media, free will and societal norms.

I don’t believe that in my career as an artist I can dedicate my mind and efforts solely to my personal work. I am aware of how extraordinary a career as an artist is and how expensive and difficult the opportunity can be in the New York area. I experienced these challenges myself in beginning my career.

#celltowertuesday is an ongoing iPhone photography series depicting ominous and omnipresent cellular network antennae in variable global contexts. Started in 2017, #celltowertuesday is most frequently exhibited on digital platforms and social media channels contributing to the forces that cause the the growth of the cellular network and the erecting of more cellular antennae.
With the antenna as their primary subject, the photographs often incorporate hints of the local surrounds that press on themes such as life choices, blind corporate loyalty, innovation’s worth and global history.
The casualness and frequency of the photography and exhibition method support the subject of the work itself.
